When I go into an antique mall, I reminisce about the good old days where the world was a kinder and gentler place. As I write this post, I am listening to a classic rock station on cable and each song reminds me of a memory. However, as much as I reminisce about a bygone era, I know it is not real. I do not believe that my best years are in the rearview mirror. I believe, as most entrepreneurs do, that my best days are still ahead of me.
While I appreciate and learn from the past, I focus my energy on the future. Much of my time is spent investing in myself and clarifying goals that I will not realize for years. Yet, I painstakingly plan and dream of how the future will look and feel.
Do you live in the past or the future?
