The average individual equity-based investment was approximately $4,000, although investments ranged from as little as $15 to as large as $400,000. Based on their statistics, the average successful venture attracts 104 equity-based investors and approximately $370,000 in capital raised. That said, only about 1 in 4 were successful in reaching their funding goal.
