If the customer can easily identify the price of your product or service you will not make the sale.
Business people are often told that they must provide all the features and benefits of a product to the customer before revealing the price. I believe people look for the price first.
The other day I was in an antique mall and spotted an item I thought was interesting. I turned it over and could not see the price. I replaced the article and walked away. With perhaps a hundred thousand pieces to consider I was not willing to spend much time trying to find out how much something cost.
I quickly moved on. In another example, I recently posted a job to hire an editor for this blog and received 39 responses. A third didn’t respond to my request for their expected hourly rate of pay. Not providing a price was an easy way to eliminate one-third of the proposals I received.
How visible are your prices to the consumer?
