Often the entrepreneur states that a primary reason for starting a business is to make more money. As the old saying goes, “Money does not buy happiness.” One reason this is true is that the simple fact that you have money has not changed anything. It is what you do with the money that can go a long way towards making you happy. Perhaps the money will be used to take a trip you have always dreamed of taking, or perhaps it affords you the opportunity to help others.
Money in itself is not a concrete enough motivator. You need to focus on what the money will get you and not on the money itself. If you go to work in your business every day with a picture of that new car you want hanging over your desk, that creates a much more powerful incentive for you to achieve your goals then just making money.
You are much more likely to achieve your goals if you don’t focus on the money, but on what the money will get you.
