People buy products from people that they know, like, and trust. And there’s no better way to build trust than to be part of the person’s “We Group.”
And what do I mean by a “We Group?” It’s an organization or some affinity that the customer may have with you.
If I’m in a group with a bunch of veterans, I make it clear that I’m a veteran, then I become part of their “We Group.” If I’m around people that I believe are motorcycle riders, I will go ahead and I will share that I’m a motorcycle rider. If I’m with a bunch of people that I know have pets, I make sure that they let them know that I have a German Shepherd. These are what we call “We Groups.”
And when you’re part of a person’s “We Group,” all their shields go down, and they’re much easier to make sales and trust you as an individual.
