One of the most common excuse I hear from people about not starting a business is that they just don’t have the time. Everybody has time. Watching T.V. is not a productive use of your time. What if you used your T.V. watching time more productively to work on a business idea?
When you want something bad enough, you’ll make time regardless of what other obligations you might have. The truth is that most people don’t really want it bad enough. Moreover, they want to protect their ego from failure and they simply use the lack of time argument as an excuse.
Another way they justify not starting a business is by claiming that they plan to do it, but they’re just waiting for the perfect time.
I can tell you the perfect time will never arrive. You’re either too young or you’re too old. You’re too broke right now or you’re too busy. You are always too something. When you constantly fret about timing, it will never happen.
So, start doing something today! Go out there and make a product or write an article. Just do something and stop making excuses about time!
As Stanley Kubrick once said, “Perhaps it sounds ridiculous, but the best thing that young filmmakers should do is to get hold of a camera and some film and make a movie of any kind at all.”
